Great app but here is some feedback

Greatest app to learn hiragana and katakana. The feature with seting a timelimit is really great. It will show you during you learn either how long you studied or how many cards you have to get right until you reach your daily goal. Feedback there is a great studie setting with katakan examples, why are there no hiragana examples?

Learn and improve your Japanese

I really love practicing my Japanese every day with this great app. Special thanks to Justin for the improved Apple Pencil Support on the iPad Pro 12". Keep on your great job!

Nice

Good way of learning hiragana. Used in conjunction with another program and learned all the words in half a week

Excellent!

Great interface and the studying system works really well! Best of all, its free!!!

Very nice

The interface is simple and the lessons stick!

Nice app except for the flash card randomisation

This is a nice app: very useful for learning, remembering and practising stroke order of Kana. However, I think the flash card randomisation could be improved. For a relatively small set of characters that needs repeated re-learning, the app presents the flash cards in a consistent (and thus, predictable) order. This means that the learner could remember the order instead of the character to get it right the next time. This is despite the fact that I have chosen Auto Randomisation in the settings. Unless this is expected from the SRS algorithm, the character picked from the set should be chosen with a call to arc4random_uniform with the current set size as the upper bound. Nonetheless, overall, a very useful app.

Thank you for this useful app

Good

Great and good looking

Bug with old iPhone solved. For me this is the clearest, good looking and best to improve ひらがな and カタカナ I really good!!!

Great support & product

I love the Sticky Study apps, the design is just lovely and the developer makes constant improvements. I was having some problems, he identified my issue and I was back in business within a day.

Novel Fast Way To Study

I admit as a programmer I implemented a kana quizzer in some ways like this many years ago. Always wondered why nobody made programs that quizzed fast and intelligently. This goes quite beyond my young attempts and is the most interesting/fastest Japanese language learner Ive seen. I was fascinated to find that I retained the characters so quickly (it had been a dozen years since school) and got past the hard characters I always had trouble with. All memory based learning should be like this. More, please.

Perfect feature set for an app

It doesnt have any unnecessary features and is focused on learning the characters. Showing characters you missed more frequently really speeds up learning. Not buggy at all and its free!

Kept me on task!

I installed it and began using it at once. I learned the entire Hiragana syllabary -- thats 71 symbols yall -- in one session of 3 hours and 33 minutes! I plan on working with it 30 minutes everyday this week to solidify my learning.

Its not perfect

This app has an excellent interface and what not, needs a stroke guide and fix that damn bug where you cant see the options thing, when you click the folder XD its on iOS 4 and iPhone 4 if that matters XD

Almost There

I love this app. It not only shows the kana but it shows words and examples that goes way above all the other apps The only thing to make it better would be studying backwards. Like it shows you the romanji and you say the kana

Awesome

Its really easy to learn Japanese with this app! The only problem is that you should be able to write the character and see if you are right.

Good, but has a few issues

This is a good app, it just has quite a few flaws. For instance, in the katakana examples, convenience store is spelled "connivence store." Also, there are some situations where the accuracy of the examples goes awry. One example has the Japanese text reading "ban," but the English word is reportedly "bas," which is not a word. Also, "home"="platform", and the word "penguin" appears twice under the words "pen" and "penguin." Besides lacking some accuracy, this app also lacks the feature to study a small group of kana at a time, which would be extremely helpful. In spite of its flaws, this app is quite good and helpful for one attempting to learn the kana.

Concise and pratical

It helps me memorize those symbols whenever I can play with iPhone. Within a week, I mastered all of them.

Cool App

A really cool app that helps ppl study Japanese.

Misstuff

I thought Hu can also be fu in katakana and is almost always fu in hiragana...

Fantastic flash card app

Very helpful in memorizing kana.
